Good Morning Ladies,
I hope everyone had a relaxing weekend, I know I did, although here in the US it has extended into today because of Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
At least for some folks. So for those of you who have the day off, enjoy!!!!

Now, why the photo of Dr. Watson's costume? You ask.

Well, last week Mr. W. and I went to watch the latest from Producer Guy Ritchie,
Sherlock Holmes, Game of Shadows.
The movie was good, but more then that I couldn't help but notice Dr. Watson's knitted scarf, I imagine that I'm not the only one who noticed, especially those of us who are into the craft. Actually anytime there are handmade knitted or crocheted items in any movie, I am instinctively drawn to them, such as the hats, scarves and even the mittens worn by the ladies from the Twilight films, and the shawl type scarf worn by Charlize Theron on Sweet November. There a free others, but they don't come to mind right now.

Well, Dr. Watson's scarf is another in my list of famous handmade accessories made for the big screen, especially since Mr. Holmes kind of pokes fun at his side kick for wearing it. (He mentions something about it being homemade.)
Not only that, but in the middle of the movie one of the men from the gypsy caravan steals it from Dr. Watson. Later on, he (Dr. W) let's him keep it.

Of course, I will be knitting this famous scarf very soon, I think I already have the yarn in my stash. Dark brown, cream and light blue. It seems pretty easy, so I'll give it a try.
It will be a birthday gift for my second born, who will turn 33 on February 15.
(my valentine baby).

For now I will go back to the business of finishing a few things that have been laying around for way too long.

Take care, and have a great week!!!

And to all of those here in the US, happy MLK day. :)
