Starting the day with the H.B. Stake 4th of July CelebrationOur stake puts on a very patriotic production and it is a great way(although very early in the morning) to kick off the holiday.  Every year for the past 5 years, I have co-directed the children's chorus for this production.  I was lucky to be involved once again as Sarah was participating possibly for the last time.  It is so much fun working with these kids teaching them staging, movement and singing.  They are precious!

The Teen's. . .Not only do these kids get to do a little singing, they get to really work at learning some serious dancing.  Jonathan was our only teen participating this year.  He had a blast dancing with one of his best friends - Kali Green.  These kids are the best!

HEARTBREAKERS!  Cairo Zeibarth, Sean Allen, Michael Boyack, John Richardson and Jonathan.

After having fun with our stake friends, we went home to rest and BBQ.  We enjoyed some teriyaki strips, macaroni salad, watermelon and corn on the cob.  We enjoyed the down time after a crazy and early morning.  Then it was on to our fireworks tradition with the Ziebarth's.  We love going to the Costa Mesa Institute parking lot and creating our own display while we watch all the surrounding neighborhoods light their illegal aerial displays.  Such a fun tradition.  Alisa and I still like the "Purple Rain" fountains best!
