Spring sports have kept us very busy this year.  Jonathan and Caleb both played baseball again and Sarah played Soccer again.  Many weeks have found us juggling games and practices that overlap in start times.  For the most part, Brett takes the boys to baseball and I take Sarah to soccer.  We were lucky to be able to have both parents at the majority of the games.  Whew!  What a whirlwind.

Sarah played on the "Highlighters" team with most of her friends from Moiola. Their team colors were her favorite turquoise and green.  Her coach Gene Peterson is such a great coach and the girls went undefeated in their season.  What a great spring season she had!

Sarah had her first opportunity to try out for the "flex" team.  She had a great try out and she made the team.  However, the team had several games scheduled for Sunday's, so we had to turn down the invitation to participate.  This was a real sacrifice for Sarah, but it prompted many good discussions about sacrifices we choose to make to obey our Heavenly Father's commandments.  We are proud of our girl!

Caleb played his final year in the Little League Majors Division.  He had a difficult season with a challenging coach, but he enjoyed having his buddy Dallin on his team and he improved his personal skills quite a bit.  He  developed into a starting pitcher, a talented catcher and an excellent short stop.

Caleb was chosen to be on the All-star team.  He was the starting pitcher and was a real leader on the team.

Jonathan played his final year in the Little League Juniors Division.  He played well in the season and went on  to the All-star competition where his team won 1st place for the League.  It was a very proud moment and Jonathan was happy to be part of this excellent team.  What a great way to end a Little League career!  Jonathan will miss playing Little League Baseball.  He has grown from a boy to a young man while playing this game he loves.  I can't believe this is the end of the road for him.  We will miss cheering for him on the baseball field!

Jonathan also finished up his first year with the FVHS surf team.  He really improved his surfing skills and has learned to love his daily dip in the ocean.
